Corinne Martin Art : Latest Painting! Retro Saudi Airlines

Ok, so here is a painting I just finished! This is the Saudi Arabian Airlines old brand, which is near and dear to anyone who grew up in the Middle East in the eighties.. similar to the nostalgia of the Panam logo in the U.S. You can see the rest of my paintings here.

Lebanese Designer Georges Chakra Spring Summer 2010.

How beautiful is this color palette from Georges Chakra couture Spring/Summer collection 2010. Gorjeous. I love the deep blues, the yellows, and the reds..strong but delicate.

Image D’Orient.

One of my favorite Oriental design products out right now.

A few words with the designer: Peggy Raphaël Dabar
“ It must have all begun without my knowledge when I was a child!
I still remember the feeling of despair at the sight of an ancient house being destroyed, a deep-rooted site being modernized, an old precious fabric being replaced! I finished my Advertising degree, but knew that I had to do things that will create beauty, inner peace or simply give a message. I traveled from Lebanon to United States where I took my Master degree in Fine Arts, from “Tufts University” and the “School of the Museum of Fine Arts” in Boston. These two degrees opposite in their way of thinking contributed equally in creating the line of objects I am doing now.

« I like to define myself as a Muslim artist, sprung from my native Saudi culture and history. In my art I am seeking to show signs of the Divine in nature and in Man. For me, light is one of the many manifestations of God. Which He casts in our path through life to remind us of His constant presence in ourselves and in every place. Every photograph is a pattern of light and shade. For me, my photography is a way to praise God’s glory in the universe. »
